Usually, I wait 5-10 minutes before pulling up my task manager and killing the program.
I once tried to be patient and see how longīefore it opened and it didn't open at all after 4 hours. First, when I open the workbook the splash screen/loading screen shows 100%, but the document does not open. I have a large workbook that I use daily and have been experiencing this issue several times a week.
